Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen venture into the bridal market

When stylist Molly Fishkin got engaged, she knew exactly who to call to design her wedding dress: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

“They are very close friends of mine and have been for the last 15 years,” Fishkin told Vogue. “The minute I got engaged, they said they would love to design my wedding dress. I was thrilled—their taste is impeccable, and I really trust them. Their team was so incredible and patient with me. They were always so calming and made the process incredibly enjoyable. I will never forget what they did for me.”

The result was a dress fashioned out of ivory chantilly lace with long bell sleeves and a scalloped neckline. The bride also wore a floor-length lace veil (also by The Row) and nude Manolo Blahnik crocodile slides.

Could this be a new market for the designing duo? Mary-Kate is engaged to Olivier Sarkozy, but apparently an idea for her own wedding dress hasn’t come so easily.

“I’m, like, not even there yet,” Mary-Kate said about her bridal gown. “I think it may be a matter of getting five or six or making two or three and being stressed out. That seems kind of far away. We’ll take one step at a time.”

Here’s hoping she found some inspiration for the future.
